Artificial Intelligence will predict floods

This advanced Artificial Intelligence will predict floods before the first raindrop hits the ground.

It’s called the National Flood Interoperability Experiment (NFIE).

The system will calculate flood likelihood using data from several sources.

Researchers will be able to monitor the system and collaborate from all over the world.

The NFIE prototype was built using Microsoft Azure and the Cortana Intelligence Suite.

UT Austin researchers hope this will reduce the severity of flood-related tragedies.
