The Scary AI Revolution Will Decimate Jobs and Might Cause World War III: Jack Ma

Jack Ma, founder of Chinese e-commerce behemoth Alibaba and one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, says he worries about the scary Artificial Intelligence revolution. Artificial Intelligence could decimate middle-class jobs and might cause World War III, but it could also be the opportunities to build new companies and change the current status quo of Africa. He believes that AI will be smarter than human and in the future we will make robot more like human.

He spoke to young African at the University of Nairobi and encourage African Entrepreneurs “When I arrived, I found the internet speed in Kenya is faster than in United states, and you will build even better infrastructure and build the future of Africa because entrepreneurship is the best philanthropy to help the society.”

Jack Ma is the founder of the E-commerce giant Alibaba and is a stakeholder at Alipay, its sister company which is an e-payment portal. He is now officially the richest man in China with an estimated net worth of $25 Billion, on the back of the recent world record $150 Billion IPO filing of his company. Given all of this, Jack Ma only holds a 7.8% stake in Alibaba and a 50% stake in Alipay.

  1. Yes. Wanting to have more than your neighbor seems to be a major stumbling block. The wealthy want to be ‘better’ than the rest of us.
There will be a post scarcity world where wealth is meaningless and the elites must hate the idea as they lose their position of ‘elite’.

  2. Another excuse by capitalists to save their bacon. Everyone knows what ai means. It means the end of poverty, the end of wealth dynasties, the end of an industrial age.

  3. It’s not going to cause WW3, just a revolt against the rich once unemployment becomes too high that it’s obvious who the problem stems from.
Now, the rich might try to start WW3 to distract us and kill off a lot of the people that would be fighting them, and they already are trying with all this antagonism of Russia IMO, but the common person will realize it’s the people who profit from all the robots while everyone else starves that are the issue. Hopefully.

    1. We are not “antagonizing” Russia, Putin annexed Crimea shortly after invading Georgia, the US and many countries placed sanctions on Russia. Some of these sanctions have made it virtually impossible for Putin to access the billions in wealth he has stored here in the west. He then used his spy/tech apparatus to hack US political parties and has spread fake news using bot farms to help elect a man that is millions, perhaps billions in debt to Russian oligarchs to leverage him into lifting those sanctions. In the meantime he also benefits by having his “revenge” on the CIA for having propped up Yeltsin in order to destabilize the USSR, and sow doubt in the validity of liberal democracy as the de facto political system.
There are wealthy people doing things to exploit and degrade the common man, but starting a war/antagonizing Russia is not one of them.

  4. Ma is urging “caution”. But with wildcards like Trump (and too many other morons) in power… does the orange idiot have any clue what he’s messing with? Or is it all inevitable. Too late for humanity. We opened the door, jumped on board. No getting off this ride now folks!
